There are times when the necessity for urgent care may arise; such as a sudden need to see a physician for a cold, minor injury or affliction. During these instances when you do not have a scheduled appointment with Dr. Sisselman and Associates, we urge you to give us a call and we will make every conceivable effort to accommodate you for your urgent care requirement. Since our hours of operation are quite extensive, including several evening hours, if it is at all feasible, we will do our very best to adjust our schedule and have you seen by Dr. Sisselman or one of his associates.

Urgent Care vs. Emergencies

Keep in mind, however, that if your condition is serious or life-threatening, it is in your best interest to immediately go to the nearest hospital emergency room or, when critical care is required, to call without hesitation for an ambulance. Some of the circumstances for such critical care are: shortness of breath, extensive bleeding, acute chest or abdomen pain, high fever, convulsions or signs of a stroke.

We understand your reluctance to go to the hospital emergency room in that the wait is, in most instances, prolonged and the expense can be exorbitant. However, in cases where the necessity arises, it is imperative to seek medical attention as soon as possible. Time is of the essence and immediate critical care can mean the difference between life and death. We realize that today during these trying times, people are more cost conscious but know that if urgent care is required, your health and well-being needs to be addressed without delay.
